Infiniti Unveils QX65 Monograph Concept and QX80 Track Spec & Terrain Spec at Monterey Car Week

Infiniti’s Big Reveal at The Quail

Infiniti is set to make a strong impression at Monterey Car Week by showcasing the QX65 Monograph concept and two exclusive versions of its flagship SUV — the QX80 Track Spec and QX80 Terrain Spec — at The Quail.

The QX65 Monograph previews Infiniti’s upcoming mid-size crossover coupe, expected to closely resemble the production model. Meanwhile, the QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec variants will cater to performance and off-road enthusiasts, drawing inspiration from the Nissan Armada NISMO and Nissan Armada Pro-4X, respectively.

QX65 Monograph: A Coupe-Inspired Mid-Size SUV

Infiniti first hinted at the QX65 in a teaser image ahead of the 2023 Tokyo Auto Show. The coupe-like silhouette — with a sloping roofline reminiscent of the Audi Q8 and Genesis GV80 Coupe — hints at a sportier alternative to the brand’s traditional SUVs.

Like the QX Monograph concept unveiled in 2023, the QX65 Monograph is expected to strongly resemble its production counterpart. The production model will likely share its chassis and mechanicals with the Infiniti QX60, including the 268-hp (272 PS) turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Industry insiders speculate that the QX65 could debut as early as the 2027 model year in the U.S.

QX80 Track Spec: Built for Speed

The QX80 Track Spec is believed to share DNA with the Nissan Armada NISMO. It may feature:

  • 3.5-liter (213 cubic inches) twin-turbo V6 producing 460 hp (466 PS)
  • Performance-tuned steering and air suspension
  • Sport-inspired bodywork, including a chin spoiler

This variant is aimed at drivers seeking both luxury and racetrack-ready performance.

QX80 Terrain Spec: Built for Adventure

Designed with off-road capability in mind, the QX80 Terrain Spec will likely include:

  • All-wheel drive (AWD)
  • All-terrain tires
  • Electronic locking rear differential
  • Height-adjustable air suspension
  • Underbody skid plates
  • Rugged accessories such as a roof-mounted horizontal light bar and storage box

It takes inspiration from the Nissan Armada Pro-4X, offering serious off-road hardware wrapped in premium styling.

Production Possibilities

Infiniti currently refers to both the QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec as “design exercises”, hinting they could enter production if market interest is strong.
